Sometimes I sit there wishing I could be a complete slacker. I know at times I proclaim to be an amazing procrastinator, but the truth of the matter is I stick to my goals. And that damn responsibility can be grading on a person's sanity. As I set here studying o-chem I wonder about what this really has to do with whatever I want to do with my life--nothing. If I some day become a doctor, I won't care what the hell drugs like methodone look like or how to synthesize salicylic acid. But sadly thinking of the knowledge that I need for my future doesn't change what I need to know for the present. So it's back to memorizing structures of sugars and lipids. Yeah for me.
