The intent of the evening was to study--seeing how finals are coming up. But that idea was quickly vetoed. After spending some good time procrastinating by making popcorn and cranberry garland for my tree, Dave gives me a call and says that he and a bunch of people are going bowling...so without too much convincing, Courtney and I dump the studying and head up to Shane and Dave's. Needless to say, bowling is not my sport, but I didn't do too horrible for not having bowled in almost 4 years (I bowled a 74 and then an 87--I sat out in the third game due to uncontrollable shoulder pain). Anyway, we ended up back at the apartment and we all drank glogg and watched southpark. I definitely enjoyed myself--it was great to let loose at the bowling alley. Although I ended up doing entirely too much thinking by the end of the evening and it's starting to make my head spin. Damn it, why can't life be easy?

Almost Forgot!

As I was walking home, I had a thought--something I want to share....

For the most part, I notice that guys seem to have a genuine concern for not allowing girls to walk home, late at night, by themselves. However, I seem to be left behind in this concern. Perhaps it's because my guy friends beleive I can fend off all the sketchy men that wonder the streets late at night--you know, with my massive muscles and mad kungfu fighting skills. Or maybe it's my impeccable ability to blend into any environment and not be seen by even the most trained eyes. Although, what I think it comes down to is that my guy friends don't think of me as some sort of helpless female--they see I can take care of myself. This is great and all, but ya know, as independent as I may be, I, too, want to be taken care of sometimes and there are times when I really need it. ::sigh:: I guess that's the sacrafice I make for getting to be one of the guys.

Well, I've done enough procrastinating for the day...hehe... I'm finally getting down to studying... Courtney's coming over later tonight and Andrew might join us for some Genetics fun. All I know is that it's going to be a late evening :-)

Gave up on Genetics studying... Courtney never came over, but Andrew and I went over the first half of the material. I'm gonna do a bit of biology before I head to bed, then cram the second half of the material in my head tomorrow. Once I'm done on tuesday I'm coming home and making myself a drink... oh joy :)
